Aged Out of Foster Care Christmas Present Drive

Founded by Shelly Walton, Owner of Backstreets Sports Bar, Cape Coral

Every year, countless teens in foster care face one of life’s biggest challenges—transitioning into adulthood without the support that so many of us take for granted. While younger children often receive the majority of holiday gifts and attention, older teens who are about to “age out” of the foster care system are too often overlooked.

The Aged Out of Foster Care Christmas Drive was created to change that. Founded by Shelly Walton, owner of Backstreets Sports Bar in Cape Coral, this program shines a light on those who need it most—young adults stepping into independence with little more than determination and hope.

Through this program, we’ve been able to provide essentials that make a real difference, from clothing for job interviews and computers for school to furniture for their first apartments. Each gift helps build a foundation for their future—one that offers stability, confidence, and a sense of belonging during the holiday season and beyond.

Your donations can give these incredible young people the tools they need to thrive as they begin their next chapter. Together, we can make sure no one is forgotten and that every young adult leaving foster care feels the true magic of Christmas—the magic of being seen, supported, and loved.

Help us give these deserving teens a brighter tomorrow.
